Hyderabad Water Board focus to take up trenchless technology to replace damaged sewers. According to water board officials, there were 612 km length of 600 mm diameter or above sewer network in the city and nearly 1.85 lakh manholes. As over 90% of the network was laid decades ago, it was suffering damages. Recently, a trunk sewer got damaged near NTR Garden. In view of the damage, the officials decided to study the entire sewer system and adopt the latest technology.
